5 years ago, Joe and Tania met on a train in Boston. And on June 27th, 2015, they were married in Seal Cove at Harris Barn. Many of their family members traveled long distances to be there to celebrate, and I’m so pleased that Maine gifted them with beautiful weather.
Ever heard of this location? Nope, me either. It’s a private summer rental location, and I think it might have just become one of my new favorite unique places for a Maine wedding. The amount of time, thought, and DIY-creativity they put into their wedding was well worth it because this entire day could not have been more perfect!
Congratulations on Joe, Tania, and Avery. I wish your sweet little family the very best for many happy years to come :)
I’d like to point out that Joe’s sister made this cake. Incredible!!!
Tania and her closest friends/family put together so many beautiful details – including ALL the florals! Gorgeous.
The multi-colored bridesmaid dresses, in soft ocean colors, were perfect for this setting.
The intricate lace detail on Tania’s dress was to die for.
I’m a sucker for all-things pretty… and this tent with those lights and table cloths made my heart sing.
I mean, this is a pretty standard occurrence for when they guys are getting ready. And no, we didn’t take him up on the offer! ;)
I love anything handwritten. These are the notes Tania’s bridesmaid had written for her speech.
They all did so well at keeping the tears at bay… until Tania’s mom helped her into her dress.
That veil!
Off we go!
I’ll admit that this next shot was kind of an accident, but I love it. You can clearly see the intricate details of her dress, the texture of her flowers, and her father’s hands. Meanwhile, Tania’s mother is just visible in the background, fixing her dress and veil before they all walk together.
Here’s why it’s important to have a second shooter. While I was photographing Joe’s huge smile upon seeing his bride for the first time…
My second shooter was on the other side, and she was able to capture this beautiful moment of Tania with her parents just before they gave her away.

Pretty, happy tears :)
Could Maine be any more perfect?
I love that Tania’s brother was her “man of honor”. I also love that he gracefully held her bouquet throughout the ceremony :)
Avery got a little restless during the ceremony, and had to come say hi to mum :)

And now, they’re MARRIED!
Lots of love, lots of laughter.
Again, everything was SO PRETTY.
Big smile.
Beautiful dress.
Handmade arbor!
I’m just glad nobody fell in while we were shooting here…
