The D family came to Maine for the 4th of July weekend last summer! While visiting, we met up at Sand Beach in Bar Harbor for a portrait session. Sand Beach is my favorite location for Acadia National Park portraits… but only if we go at sunset! It’s jam packed with people during the day. As soon as the sun starts to go down, the entire place empties out. And I love how sun hits the water just right to get those incredible blue tones. There’s a mixture of rocks, beach, pine trees, woods, and ocean; how much more Maine can you get?!

^ Out of nowhere, the fog rolled in and the wind started up like crazy! The little ones were not thrilled, but this picture still makes me laugh :)
