Shelby admitted she was a bit nervous when she woke up one morning to Nick telling her to pack her bags. He was taking her on a surprise trip to New York! But she made some phone calls to let everyone know… just in case Nick turned out to be a serial killer. What?! Yes, that’s what she told me. “It’s not like we’ve been dating for years or anything,” poor Nick said, shaking his head. Shelby laughed and showed me her gorgeous ring; it’s a good thing she agreed to go, because while they were there… he proposed! And she said yes :)

Nick and Shelby came to Maine to escape the Texas heat and sample the finest lobster rolls on the East Cost. We met at Sand Beach in Acadia National Park on Mount Desert Island for their shoot, and the evening was beautiful. They had never been to Maine before, and I’m so glad they chose to visit Bar Harbor… it’s one of my favorite places to be. Nick and Shelby, you are one of the sweetest couples I’ve ever head the pleasure to work with. I truly loved spending the evening with you both! I hope you had fun driving Rt 1 (just kidding), sampling ice cream, and learning how maple syrup is made!
